A real, live lamb in church?! Yes, it's true! A few weeks ago our family received a phone call from a lady from a Messianic Jewish Church called Congregation of Baruch Hashem. Messianic Jew means that they are Jews that have become Christians. Last fall, their leader Rabbi Tim bought some firewood from Owen and remembered that we had sheep. In Bible times, it was a tradition to bring a lamb inside the home and make it part of the family until passover. They called us to ask if they could "borrow" a lamb as the illustration to his next sermon on that tradition. It was so cool to see my Dad carrying a lamb down the isle as everyone petted it! It's amazing to see both the Jewish and Christian background in a service. They have a very cool culture and I was very blessed to see a service from their Jewish background!
