Several years ago my family and I were convicted to start dressing modestly. At first it was easy to find cute, but modest outfits. As time went on and I got older it became harder to find modern modest outfits, especially within a reasonable price range. Thrift stores became the place to buy "new" clothes. Before I knew it, my closet had gone from cute and modestly fitting to sloppy and too big. It's hard nowadays to find skirts that go below the knee and shirts that aren't super revealing and tight fitting, all the while making sure it's still attractive looking. However, it is possible! Keep classic and basic articles of clothing like solid colored skirts than can be worn with a variety of printed shirts; the standby black, brown or white shoes; or use solid colored shirts with patterned or printed skirts. Dress up these outfits with infinity scarves, simple but bold jewelry or any other fun accessory. By mixing and matching, adding highlight colors or pieces of jewelry, you can look attractive, modern and most importantly modest! Here is an outfit I recently put together with the help of my dear Mom who purchased the skirt and shirt for me. I really like this skirt, because it's not too fitting and it looks nice on me. Mom also found the highlight color in the skirt (the dark blue) and got a shirt to match it. I already had the white sweater like thing to put on top (lightly layering helps add to color and dimension) and borrowed the necklace from Mom. It happened to have the perfect colors to match! For more help on putting together modern modest outfits, see Fresh Modesty's website. I like Olivia's slogan "Dressing outside your box, but inside His Book" because it captures my heart for dressing modestly! Looking to Jesus,
